The Everywhere Jack-Visual ID Solutions

The Everywhere Jack-ID is a dramatic new way to identify, locate and confirm any technology connection from the outlet through the horizontal area and the whole way back to the telecommunications closet. Anyone can easily locate an outlet with no labeling, documentation or cable markings in a closet filled with hundreds of wires and connections. In fact most people can identify the outlet they are looking for within 10 seconds of walking into the telecommunications closet.

We do this through a proprietary means of providing a visual signal path from the outlet location back through the EJcables, the EJblocks and the EJpanel.

Each Everywhere Jack-ID outlet has a specific outlet designated for the EJ-ID tool to be plugged into. When this tool is plugged in a visual indicator lights on each of the EJcables (ID), the EJblock (ID) and the EJpanel (ID), if equipped, to help you quickly and easily identify the desired voice or data outlet.

Identify an outlet even if it is connected to a piece of active equipment without ever interrupting or interfering with that connection. Never log off or hang up just to identify what outlet it is

Everywhere Jack-ID Technical Facts

  • Everywhere Jack-ID is the same as The Everywhere Jack with the added feature of a visual identification method built into the Everywhere Jack system.
  • Each EJcable-ID, EJoutlet-ID and EJblock-ID is equipped with a separate cable pair or pairs (not housed within the sheath of any of the Cat 5e, coax or other media cables).
  • Each EJcable-ID, EJoutlet-ID and EJblock-ID has the ID pair terminated on opposite ends of the 50 pair connector to not only identify the desired circuit but to also be used as a disconnect feature. This allows the user to identify if any of the mated 50 pin connectors are not secured tightly.
  • When extending the ID solution back to the main closet you must use the Everywhere Jack-ID bulk cable and connect to an ID-Panel kit.
  • An ID-Panel kit consists of the following. ID punch down block, ID interconnection cable and a (1U) ID-Panel installed above or below an industry standard 24 or 48 port patch panel.
  • The ID system uses LED technology for identification.
  • Each EJoutlet-ID is equipped with an RJ11 jack to accommodate the insertion of the EJ-id-tool.
  • You can use the EJ-id tool to identify an outlet even if the outlet is in use without any disruption of service to the user or a compromise in performance.
  • The Everywhere Jack-ID technology can be applied to both the business and home versions of the Everywhere Jack.
